Coinciding with the Xbox One release will be the game’s biggest update yet – “NEXT” – and this time, we’re promised a full, cross-platform multiplayer experience. Free for current PC and PS4 owners, according to a press release, “NEXT” brings the following features to the game:

Given the history of No Man’s Sky and some of the promises we’ve heard from Sean Murray in the past, one could be forgiven if this is met with a bit of skepticism. Still, Hello Games has demonstrated a real dedication to continual improvements through updates and patches, and few would argue that No Man’s Sky isn’t a better game today than what we were originally delivered many moons ago.
